Feature Additions to the Software:
Text has been added to the HCL menus
When you go through the various side menus to operate the system applications, text descriptions of each application has been added to each icon to improve the overall experience. Discover the right application you need more quickly with these text descriptions.
"View CAD" has been added as its own application
A specific app has been added designed to allow you to simply see your CAD elements on screen (rather than pressing a specific CAD related application button, like drawing a line). Now, quickly getting to your generic CAD view to navigate your CAD elements is easier. You can access it from several locations, including the side menus, home screen, or project manager.
Improved "Help" overlay for better navigation and understanding
The help icon (which looks like a "?" on screen) now provides quick-help text pop ups to describe the screen you are working on. The option to see the user manual or to access your own personal "training folder" will be optional buttons as well if more info beyond the initial call-outs is needed.
3D center point creation now possible on IFC entities
For elements such as round outlets and bolts that are 3D IFC entities, 3D center point creation is now possible within the HCL software. This feature may be the solution for you to discover the center point of your bolts, outlets, etc, if you do not have the coordinates of those points available as a separate file.
Tolerance settings simplify the layout experience
The HCL software, during layout, will use the colors green and red to indicate whether or not your layout location is within the tolerance settings you indicate in settings. You can now indicate what layout tolerance you prefer right within the HCL settings. Either use a pre-defined tolerance value, or create your own. This will not affect the tool's ability to layout accurately, but the software will indicate green, or, "within tolerance" values depending on what is set. In addition, while stationing, the recommended layout area may change depending on the tolerance values you are looking for.
