"Too Steep" Warning for Prism Tracking
To improve the user experience when tracking a prism, Hilti Construction Layout will now have a pop-up message warning the user that a prism is not able to be tracked when it vertically too steep out of range to be tracked (between 125° and 235° vertically). This should help end-users fix the issue by either adjusting the height of the prism or adjusting the height of the tool in their working area.
Improved Stationing Experience
As a final check before finishing the stationing process, HCL will prompt the user a final time on the best calculated stationing result based off of the measured control points. It is up to the end-user, however, what station set up they would like to proceed with.
This final prompt message will appear after a user accepts a control point stationing result. For it to appear, however, 1) the end-user must measure in at least 4 control points, 2) the end-user must have a tolerance set in settings, and 3) the HCL calculated result increases the possible layout area within the tolerance set by at least 20%.
Prism Target Search now Available
When the end user is working in radio (or, Blue Tooth) connection mode, where it is not possible to see the camera, it is now possible to more easily connect to your prism. When pressing the camera icon at the top of the screen, the end user will have a joystick to move the tool on their own, or, if they are stationed, they can click on the area of their CAD that their prism is located at, and simply press the square "lock" icon on the right of the screen. Note - prism target search will only work with the POA 20 360° glass prism.
If prism auto search is unsuccessful, the tool will return to its original position. End-users should use the orange and green guide lights on the tool to more easily recognize if the tool is "looking" at them prior to performing an auto-search.
The end-user can adjust the angle range the tool turns horizontally and vertically when the auto search is triggered. This is done by going into general settings and changing the prism/target angle sector search ranges to their preference.
