How can I upgrade my PLC 400 or 600 to Windows 11

Unfortunately, upgrading to Windows 11 is not supported for tablets that are already running on Windows 10. Later generations of the PLC tablet, however, will already have Windows 11 installed upon purchase.

Earlier generations of the PLC 400 and PLC 600 tablets run on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel). This special edition of Windows is designed for industrial and embedded systems where stability, longevity, and minimal update disruptions are critical. It offers up to 10 years of security updates and avoids the frequent feature updates that come with standard Windows editions like Home or Pro.

Within this stability measure, Windows IoT LTSC editions do not support in-place upgrades to newer versions like Windows 11 — whether that's from LTSC to LTSC or LTSC to Professional. Likewise, newer tablets that are already running Windows 11 LTSC also cannot be downgraded to Windows 10.
