Distance Between Parallel Lines Application - How to

This application is helpful when 1) you are trying to determine if two lines are, indeed, parallel, and 2) you need to quickly verify the distance between them.

How to Measure the Distance Between Parallel Lines

1. Open Your Project: Start by opening any project on your tablet.
2. Open Application: Either from the home screen or from the side menu in CAD view.
   1. If you do not have the 'Distance Between Parallel Lines Application' in the home screen, select add shortcut and add the application shown below. 
3. Select Two Parallel Lines and Measure: Follow the prompts to get your output.

The lines you select should turn red and if they are parallel. A green check point should appear on the right hand side. If not, a message will appear saying "Please select two parallel lines". Next click on the green check point and your measurement information will appear on the upper right hand side.

Understanding the Output

Once you press the green check mark, you can view your output and the Horiz. Distance (Horizontal Distance) will appear, giving you the horizontal distance between the parallel lines. In the example below this is 0.3 m.
