If you want to create an arc using points from your file, you can use the Arc 2 Pts Radius application. This is useful for structural layout and for creating any arcs or curved surfaces in walls, domes, flooring plans, etc. If you want to create an arc based on three points see this article.
How to Create an Arc from 3 Points?
- Open Your Project: Start by opening any project on your tablet.
-
Open Application: Either from the home screen or from the side menu in CAD view.
- If you do not have the 'Arc 2 Points Radius Application' in the home screen, select add shortcut and add the application shown below.
- To open it from the lefthand side menu, follow this path: Draw > Arcs and circles > Arc 3 pts
- Select Two Points, Define Radius and Create Arc: Follow the prompts to get your output
Select your two reference points. Once selected, these points should turn red and a curve should appear passing through them. If you wish to deselect a point or start again, simply click on your selected points again.
Define Radius/Direction
To change the radius and direction of your curve, you can look at the menu on the right hand side. Under "Radius" you can input the length of your desired radius. Under "Direction" you can select one of the four options: Right small, right big, left small, left big. The right and left options can help you change the direction of your curve while the big and small options determine whether the arc spans a smaller or larger angle (helping you determine how far the curve will extend along the circle without changing the radius.
When you are done, click on the green check mark to the right and your new curve will be added to your drawing.
