In-App Help
The quickest way to get help is by clicking the question mark icon in the top right corner of HCL.
When selected, information dots appear on the current screen. Clicking an information dot displays a short explanation of the corresponding feature, setting, or action. This allows you to quickly understand the functionality of the currently displayed screen without leaving your workflow.
The help screen also includes a book icon in the top left corner, which provides access to the user manual for additional guidance and reference information.
Knowledge Base Access
The HCL Knowledge Base contains detailed articles, tutorials, feature explanations, and troubleshooting guides.
The help icon also includes a convenient QR code that can be interacted with via a tap on the screen, or by scanning it with your phone. This will open up a chat bot that can lead you to quick answers and support. Remember to click the "sources" button within the conversation to read the full articles related to your question.

Contact Support
The Support icon within HCL provides access to support-related features and settings. See this article to learn more.
If additional assistance is required, support personnel may request information from these settings to help investigate and resolve issues more efficiently.

Training Folder
The help icon also allows you quick access to a folder where you can store all relevant localized training or help information as needed - such as company training documents, or files you need to retain from your training with field specialist.

AI-Assisted Chatbot
The AI-assisted chatbot is often the fastest way to find answers.
Located in the bottom right corner of the Knowledge Base, the chatbot provides quick answers based on available Knowledge Base articles. In addition to answering your question, it also references the articles used to generate the response, allowing you to explore the topic in more detail.

Article Search
You can search the Knowledge Base manually using the search bar.
Search results are based on keywords found in article titles and content, making it easy to locate information about specific tools, applications, workflows, or troubleshooting topics.

Knowledge Base Categories
The Knowledge Base is organized into categories and subcategories covering different areas of HCL and total station operation.
Browsing these categories can be useful when exploring available documentation or learning more about a specific topic.

Support settings
The Support tab within Settings provides tools for advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics.
These options can be used when working with Hilti support teams to collect information, investigate issues, and assist with problem resolution.
If requested by a support representative, the Support settings can provide valuable diagnostic information that helps speed up the troubleshooting process.
