Drawing Applications Overview

The Drawing category contains applications that allow you to create and modify geometry directly in the CAD View. These tools can be used to create lines, arcs, circles, sketches, and offset entities that can later be used for layout, measurement, and reference purposes.

Most drawing applications require one or more points to be selected. Points can be selected directly in the CAD View or from the point list. For applications that require multiple points, selecting them from the point list can be more convenient when working with larger drawings or closely grouped points. If the selected points contain height information, that information is used where applicable.

View CAD

The View CAD application is the main workspace where drawings, layout points, control points, and CAD entities can be viewed and managed.

Draw Line

The Draw Line application creates a line between two selected points. This can be used to create reference lines, building outlines, and layout geometry.

Arcs and Circles

The Arcs and Circles category contains applications for creating curved geometry based on selected points.

Arc 3 Points

Creates an arc using three selected points. The first and last points define the arc endpoints, while the second point defines the curvature.

Delete

The Delete application removes selected entities from the CAD drawing.

The Create Offset Entity application creates a parallel copy of an existing CAD entity at a specified distance. This is useful for creating offset layout lines and reference geometry.
