The Panasonic PC Hub allows end users to quickly adjust settings in an easy central location. By default one of the hot-buttons on the tablet (the programmable actions of the buttons labeled A1, 2, 3, etc.) opens this to quickly manage settings on your tablet.
What are the core reasons end users use the Panasonic PC Hub?
Adjust Touch-Input Settings
The Panasonic PC Hub allows end users to adjust how the touch screen responds, based on your situation.
Touch Input:
Select if you prefer your screen to be set up for touch and pen, touch only, or pen only.
Touchscreen mode:
To improve the touchscreen's response, you can customize how you interact with the screen based on your situation. Choose one of the following options:
Touch: Normal use with a finger or stylus. This is typically the default mode.
Glove: Adjusted screen sensitivity for users wearing gloves.
Water: Ideal for customers who are working in wet conditions - adjust the touch screen to be less sensitive. Note - this will require slightly firmer touches when working.
Adjust Programmable Actions (A1, A2, Etc)
The Panasonic PC Hub allows you to customize your hot-buttons, for short-press or long-press actions:
Most commonly, this is used to turn off the display, open an app like the internet browser or a file folder, or even perform keyboard shortcuts like the one for taking screenshots: "Windows logo + Prt sc."
Access the Support Manual for the Panasonic Tablet
Panasonic includes a support manual in case there are topics you need to explore further. This manual is for tablet help only, and will not offer support for the Hilti Construction Layout software itself. Please see Toolbox>Manual Selector>Operating Instructions
